Carter made the challenge during an interview on Yanga 89.9 FM, where he said he was willing to participate in the fight without receiving any payment.
“I’d like to fight Wizkid in a boxing match. They should not even give me any money. They can even pay Wizkid $1 million that he should come fight with me. They should not give me a single kobo; instead, they should sew a cloth for me and let me go there to fight him,” he said.
When asked whether he really wanted to fight a “national treasure” like Wizkid, Carter questioned why he should not also be regarded as one.
“Me, am I not a national treasure too? If I even stay longer in the game, my treasure would be more than Wizkid’s own,” he said.
Carter also addressed his fallout with Wizkid and the claim that he used the singer’s name to gain popularity, arguing that both of them benefited from their collaboration.
“Did he also not blow? We shared glory. I dropped the song and it entered number one and he couldn’t even acknowledge me. As he didn’t acknowledge me, that’s why I don’t acknowledge him anymore,” he said.
The content creator further expressed confidence that he would win the proposed bout, citing Wizkid’s alleged marijuana use as part of his reasoning.
“Let them just bring him to the ring. Let us fight and I know I will win because he smokes weed,” Carter added.
